The Original Car, a 1971 Europa S-2 Type 65 with 24,000 (
yes 24,000 ! ) miles on the odometer.
The poor baby is loaded and ready for the 315 mile trip from
Albuquerque to Amarillo.
As can be seen, some body work had been started, but it will
require an incredible amount of work to return to acceptable condition.
The engine had been out in the elements for three or four
years with the plugs missing.
Rusted front suspension and frozen calipers!
The frame was in pretty good shape despite what you see here.
This is the parts car I purchased in Fort Worth. It's really incredible
how many parts I used from this car. I recommend the idea of taking two
cars to make one.
